The Dallas Islamic Center hosted Rev. Dr. Clayton Oliphint, Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Richardson on April 23rd, 2010. Dr. Clayton Oliphint`s talk was titled: “How Christians view Easter?”. Rev. Oliphint gave his talk after dinner, and program continued with the question & answer session. Program held in Dallas Islamic Center and people from different faiths and cultures gathered together at Abraham`s Table.

Rev. Dr. Clayton Oliphint is Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church Richardson (FUMCR). He is originally from Monroe, Louisiana. Clayton attended Austin College and SMU, Perkins School of Theology. Before joining the FUMCR staff, Clayton served at Melrose UMC in Kansas, Lovers Lane UMC in Dallas, TX, First United Methodist Church The Colony, and First UMC Duncanville. Clayton’s favorite things about FUMCR are the big-vision, huge heart for missions and open-minded, compassionate people. In his spare time he enjoys his kids adventures, golf, movies and cowbell. One of Clayton’s favorite scripture texts is: 2Kings 2:23-25.
